Dawson
Admissions Officer
Senior Trip Evaluator

Dawson wears two collars – Admissions Officer and Trip Evaluator. In Admissions, Dawson interviews each potential Adventurer. As Trip Evaluator, she explores each destination before we add it to the schedule and gives a grade from 4 paws up to 4 paws down. In her spare time, Dawson participates in Agility and Search and Rescue. Dawson is a firm believer in retail therapy. For several weeks each fall, she gives up all her other hobbies to hunt pheasant and quail. Dawson also is involved in a twelve step program for her tennis ball addiction.

Cordelia Brown
Procurement Officer

Cordy carefully chooses and evaluates each of the toys, balls and other equipment that Adventurers use on our trips. A premature and acute case of arthritis in her front toes keeps Cord from joining in our longer trips; however, she rarely misses a Doddering Old Dog adventure. In her free time, she swims in the pool or lake to keep her svelte figure. She also volunteers with Reading with Rover and at local senior centers. She enjoys hunting, listening to music, road trips and sorting through the trash. She is also very fond of the compost pile.

Tamara
Head Honcho and Adventure Lead

Tamara drives the truck, pays the bills, and carries the backpack. She lets dogs in, lets dogs out, lets dogs in and lets dogs out. She also makes the snacks. In her past life she was an Air Force pilot, an oceanographic researcher, a software engineer. She is avid mountaineer, whitewater kayaker, and knitter. She is an emergency medical technician (EMT-B), and a Wilderness EMT. She has worked as a vet tech and is certified in Animal First Aid. She can also repair the car and throw the ball. She has no free time – dog in, dog out, dog in, dog out. If she had any free time she would nap in the sun, roll around in the grass, dig holes in the garden, chew on some socks, and whine at the door. The rest of the day, Jackie designs and makes beautiful jewelry which can be found in artful shops up and down the West Coast.
